Just a few things I meant to mention in my last post...
I took Merle & Mille to the vet yesterday and Millie had gone from 6 lbs. to 15 lbs. in three weeks! She is getting SO big SO fast! You really can't how big she is in pictures. I will work on that.
Also, can you believe I am still uploading pictures to Winkflash? I had not uploaded since Disney in November so I have a lot to send. I am going to upload and then make them all public so don't worry if you try my link and it looks like I haven't got anything new on there. Just taking me some time. :)
Lily got a haircut the other day...gotta take a few pictures of that too. I had about 5-6 inches cut off the end (it was looking ratty). That night when she went to bed, she thanked me for her new "fashion haircut". She is so funny sometimes!
My brother apparently got married but has not call me to tell me. I can only assume that he hasn't called because he already knows what my reaction will be. It's such a long story and I don't think I am ready to go into it on my blog yet. Maybe another time.

A Clean House...
I decided yesterday that I was going to spend today (Saturday) cleaning my house every available minute. My house has been so DIRTY and I have been struggling to find the time to really get serious about cleaning it. So today was the day! I only had to stop to take Sam to a birthday party at 2pm and to go back and pick him up at 4pm. I mopped, I cleaned my bathrooms, I washed my rugs, washed my sheets, I even cleaned upstairs! I usually only either clean downstairs or upstairs (time is most often the reason I can't do both). I cleaned from 9am this morning until 5pm this afternoon. I am finishing up my last load of laundry as I type this. It is the most satisfying feeling to sit down in the evening and know that my house is clean. Now, I know that in just a few hours my children will find a way to un-do the work I've done today, but for right now...this second... I feel great.

Catching up...
Boy, it has been a long time since I uploaded any pictures. I just got on Winkflash and I realized that I haven't even finished uploading my Disney pictures from November! So, that is what I am spending my evening doing... as we speak, as a matter of fact.
Several of you have asked about the puppies. Merle & Millie are doing fine. Still pooping and peeing all over the house (gotta shampoo the carpet SOON) but getting better everyday. They are growing like weeds. I will have to get some good pictures that show their size relative to something around the house so that I can show how much they've grown.
Baseball has begun. Sam is on the Upper Cleveland Longhorns Rookis Team and Lily is on the Upper Cleveland Red Sox Weeball Team. They had their pictures made yesterday and I will upload those when we get them back... they're sure to be super cute! We went to the Sports Authority Friday night and bought Lily some cleats and a pink glove, while Sam needed a batting helmet. Lily saw a pink softball and had to have that as well, of course. Tonight Brad took them both out in the yard while I was cooking supper and I really enjoyed watching the three of them throw the ball around. Americana at it's finest. I only needed my apron and rolling pin to make the scene complete!
More and more these days I am looking forward to summer. I just want some time to get myself together and clean my house and just rejuvenate!! We've got so much going on all the time and I can't wait for summer when things will settle down. I need to start thinking about vacation, ugh. Brad and I will have been married for ten years in June and I said last year that I wanted to go on a cruise or something special, just me and him. I've never been on a cruise. Any suggestions? Then I also feel obligated to plan some kind of family vacation. It just doesn't seem like anything could measure up to Disney, so I'm kind of dreading planning something.
Well, I have a princess who needs me to help her get the soap out of her hair so I better run. If you pray, I need you to lift my PawPaw up. He is in the hospital with pneumonia and a severe urinary tract infection. He has had to wear a catheter for several weeks now and we had him moved to a nursing home about a week and a half ago. He just needs your prayers if you can spare them!

Snow, & Merle...
Let it Snow! Let it Snow! I am so excited to FINALLY see some decent snow here in good old Shelby, NC. I was beginning to wonder if we had somehow offended the "snow gods" and were doomed to never see the fluffy white stuff again, but alas, it would appear that I was wrong. My kids are so thankful for that because
they are LOVING it! Brad took them outside last night around 8:30 and they drove the four wheelers down to Grandmomma's to take her and Granddaddy a movie. It was snowing SO hard and their faces were frozen when they got back. They came in, had a cup of hot chocolate and warmed up a bit. Then I looked outside to see my husband, who was supposed to be coming back in just as soon as he put the four wheelers up, down on his knees rolling a humongous ball of snow across the front yard. So the kids and I put on all our wintry clothes again and went out to help him build a snowman. We had a snowball fight and then Brad went to get his four wheeler and tied the sled to it. He pulled the kids around the yard and then he even pulled me around the yard! It was so much fun! I couldn't stop laughing and I had a face full of snow when we finished. Then we had to stop playing because the power starting going out in Shelby so Brad had to go to work. It is 8:30am and he still hasn't been home yet. He just called a few minutes ago and said the roads are terrible but he hopes to come home later this mor
ning and get a little sleep before having to go back in. The kids just got up a few minutes ago and I am sure it won't be long before we load up again and go out to play some more. I was telling mom on the phone last night that I had forgotten how pretty and how much fun snow actually is. But it seems like it has been ten years since we had snow here. I'm really not much for staying out in it for long (I am not fond of cold at all) but I love looking out at it. The trees are just gorgeous.
Speaking of gorgeous, we finally got a puppy this past weekend. Her name is Merle and she is a six week old Australian Shepherd. She is so sweet and she really is turning out to be a good puppy. We got he
r Friday night (found her in the Shelby Shopper) and she has already gone to the door and whined to go out to poop! I am so excited and hopeful that she will be easy to housetrain and that we will be able to keep her in the house some. I really think Brad is more excited than any of us about our new addition. Here's the kicker though... this Friday we are going to Chesnee, SC to pick up our new Great Pyrenees puppy. Yep, I must be crazy because we are getting two puppies at once. And if you know anything at all about Great Pyrenees, you know they are HUGE dogs! We are trying to decide on a name for the G.P. before we get her here but Lily only wants names like Whitey or Beauty. I want a cool doggie name...we'll see.
Well, I have to go get some children bundled up to play in the snow now. Maybe I will have time to write more later.
