What a bunch of little twerps...

I went to the movies last night with Brad and the kids to see the movie Bedtime Stories (which was NOT good, by the way). I have had a few experiences like the one I am about to describe, but none quite as bad as this particular one...

So we are sitting there (and have been sitting there for nearly an hour) waiting for our movie to start. Finally the movie begins and we are all set to enjoy and have a few laughs at Adam Sandler, when in comes a group of about ten teenagers. All of them had their cell phones and they sat right in front of us, of course. You know how annoying that little light is on cell phones when you are trying to watch a movie? Well, try ten of them across the entire row in front of you! Not only were the lights distracting, but these kids weren't just texting... they were calling each other and talking! There were a few times when they even stood up to talk to each other, right in front of us! I finally had had enough and I went to find someone who worked there to come in and speak to them. They knew where I was going, of course, and then when I came back they had the nerve to try to talk junk to me! Calling me a snitch (among other things) and turning around and staring at me. I finally leaned up and asked one who was staring at me if I could help her with something and she just laughed. Finally, another lady who was also sitting behind them on down the row from me went to tell the management. This time the little guy who worked there actually came up to the row where they were sitting and stood there (he had only stood at the bottom of the stairs and looked up at them when I went to tell). Well, they continued and then they had had enough of everybody watching them and they stood up and announced that they were going to the mall because this movie was full of snitches. And with much pomp and circumstance, they, thank the Lord, exited the theatre! Hooray!

My gripe is this.... WHY would you pay$8 to come into a movie theatre to sit and talk on the freakin' telephone!?!? And why would you come into a kids' movie, of all movies? They had absolutely no interest in the movie AT ALL. Kids are so spoiled today. I see it in my job every day! It is so frustrating to see kids who have no understanding of respect for others. My husband and I work very hard for our money and it cost my little family of four almost $50 dollars to go to the movies and have a bag of popcorn and a drink for us to share. These little TWERPS didn't hesitate to come in and ruin that $50 excursion for us! After they left, I calmed down and actually did get to watch the movie (minus the first 30 minutes), but still. I paid to watch the entire thing and these disrespectful little turds, yes... turds, took part of that from me. And it pisses me off.

OK, I fell a little bit better now.

You know you're getting more like your mother every day, don't you. And if you squint real hard, you'll see shades of your Grandmother in yourself. (Both of them!)

Doesn't bother me. I'm proud of you. But if you're not careful, it won't be long until Brad won't go anywhere with you. And you know what I'm talking about.
