Ahhh, Edward...

I seriously think that Christmas break did more harm than good when it comes to my job woes. I have had so much trouble getting up in the morning and getting myself ready for work. I just DREAD every minute of the day... I LIVE for Fridays. Wednesday I had to stay home with Sam because he was sick with a stomach virus (which I think I am getting now) and I thought all day about what a good housewife/stay at home mom I would make. I cleaned the house from top to bottom and I washed all the clothes. I washed all the sheets and changed the beds since Sam threw up in two out of three of them Tuesday night. I hate that my little boy was sick, but part of me felt like I was playing hookey since I was at least getting out of being at work. How sad is that???

Carmen and I went to see Twilight last night. It was my second time seeing it and her first. It's funny... a movie has not made me feel downright giddy over a guy since I watched The Lost Boys fourteen thousand times in a row just because Corey Haim was in it. I guess it is because I enjoyed the books so much and then Rob Pattinson was cast so perfectly for the role and Stephanie Meyer made Edward Cullen so perfect-in-every-way. I keep joking with Carmen and saying I am on an Edward high but it is so true. Pitiful, but thinking of that boy's smile and his beautiful eyes actually helped me sleep last night. Kind of pushed thoughts of Taco and Burger and the coyotes clean to the back of my mind. But I guess that's a good thing. So... incase you haven't read the books, let me just say that the Twilight series is not just a book for teenagers, and it is one of the quickest, easiest reads I have experienced in a long time. Just a great, great book. Beautiful story. I actually think that seeing the movie made the books seem better because I have more accurate faces to put with each character now. The movie is PERFECTLY cast all the way around. Oh, by the way Carmen... he's 22...perfectly legal. :-)

Only 10 years younger than me...oh yes! That is perfectly acceptable! So I'm not really a cougar!
